Moulmein-Cairnhill Well-being Circle partnered with ThirtyTwoCM, an arts therapy organisation, to develop an arts-based program called "Our House Downstairs (OHD)."
The program began with just five seniors who were invited to join various art activities such as painting and threading beads to promote creativity and motor skills and, more importantly, support their mental wellness.
The main objective of the program was to provide a safe space for stay alone seniors to engage in social activities and prevent feelings of loneliness and isolation during thepandemic.
The program was met with enthusiasm and grew from the initial five participants to over 50 seniors today, demonstrating the overwhelming positive response and impact it had on the community.
