I've been privileged to support our annual Tamil Language Festival for the past few years.
This year's run is themed “Odi Vilaiyaadu Nanba!” (Run and Play, My Friend), which comprises an amazing race where teams must answer questions related to Tamil classics and literature across Pek Kio.
We strongly support the preservation of our languages, like Tamil (which is one of Singapore's official languages). And I'm so encouraged that our youths are actively finding creative ways to make the mastery of the language fun and engaging! I spoke briefly in halting Tamil as well
I also encouraged them to make use of Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth - MCCY's SG Heritage Plans 2.0 to conduct more such activities!
Congrats Pek Kio CC Indian Activities Executive Committee and வளர்தமிழ் இயக்கம் Tamil Language Council for organizing today's event
