Baroque Bungalow on raised footings (early 1900s)

House No. 9, Buckley Road, is a preserved bungalow built in the early 1900s. Featuring Baroque and Classical designs, it stands on raised footings. It was awarded URA conservation status in 2008.

Beulah House

The bungalow with its distinctive conical turret roof, once an eye clinic, was purchased by Life Bible-Presbyterian Church in 1990. Gazetted for conservation in 2003, it retains its earthy tones, contrasting with nearby high-rise buildings, marking Gilstead Road's entrance.

Black & White Bungalows

Westbourne Mansion (1927)

Built in 1927 for Dr. Yin Suat Chuan (father of Saint author Leslie Charteris), the conservation-listed "Westbourne" mansion at 25 Gilstead Road has been adaptively reused by various organizations including the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore and kindergartens. Notable former residents include Dr. J.S. Webster, who established Singapore's St John's Ambulance division.
